Alaska and Minnesota transparent watercolor artist JoAnn Wold now lives by a lake in rural Minnesota. She spent 33 years in Alaska and is a past president of the Alaska Watercolor Society. She also belongs to the Minnesota Watercolor Society and the Red River Valley Watercolor Society.
Along with her watercolor painting in Alaska, she also taught watercolor painting, drawing, and portrature in rural Alaska for the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
She has won numerous awards in juried shows in Alaska and nationally, and her paintings are in both corporate and private collections throughout the U.S. She was also the featured artist for eight years for a Mother's Day promo for an Anchorage radio station. She has had two one artist shows in Detroit Lakes since moving to Minnesota.
JoAnn is a strict transparent watercolor artist whose subjects range from Alaskan animals and Alaska landscapes and boat scenes to flowers, birds, farm animals and lake scenes of Minnesota. She also paints portraits of people, animals (dogs and horses), homes and cabins. |
